The Data Analyst at Omni Tax Help is responsible for managing and analyzing large volumes of financial data, ensuring accuracy and validity while preparing comprehensive daily internal financial reports. Reporting to the Statistics Manager, this role requires strong multitasking abilities, proficiency in statistical methods, and expertise in data management systems to support informed decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Applies advanced statistical methods to address specific financial data challenges and support organizational objectives.
- Analyzes and interprets statistical data to identify significant patterns, trends, and relationships across diverse information sources.
- Designs research reports, leveraging baseline or historical data to conduct unbiased and efficient analyses.
- Evaluates data sources to assess reliability, usability, and potential limitations.
- Reviews statistical methods and procedures to ensure data validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Investigates reports to identify mathematical foundations for developing or enhancing methods of data collection and evaluation.
- Identifies trends, relationships, and influencing factors within data to inform actionable insights.
- Processes large datasets for statistical modeling and graphical analysis using computer-based tools.
- Presents analytical results through clear, professional reports, incorporating graphs, charts, and tables.

Experience
- A bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Two to three years of relevant experience in data analysis, computer skills, or coding.
- Proficiency in computer applications, with demonstrated competency in semi-extensive software programs.
- Advanced mastery of Microsoft Office suite (Access, Excel) and CPAs (Practice Management) databases, with strong spreadsheet and database management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Requires sufficient manual dexterity for typing and computer-related tasks.
- Needs adequate visual acuity to view and interpret reports and navigate computer systems
- Occasionally involves bending, reaching, climbing a step stool, and lifting.
