The Recruiter at Omni Tax Help serves as a strategic team leader, driving the organization’s hiring and retention objectives by making informed, timely decisions to attract and retain top talent. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive recruiting strategies to identify and onboard highly qualified candidates who align with the company’s current and future needs, while fostering a positive employer brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and implements strategic recruiting plans and processes to attract top-tier candidates who meet the organization’s needs and enhance its workforce.
- Collaborate with department managers to create accurate job descriptions and recruitment plans tailored to specific roles.
- Oversee the end-to-end hiring process, including screening applications, conducting interviews, making hiring recommendations, drafting offer letters, performing reference checks, and negotiating employment contracts.
- Identifies and pursues innovative recruitment sources, such as social media platforms, employee referrals, and professional networks, while fostering relationships with industry professionals and college placement officers.
- Represents Omni Tax Help at public events, including job fairs and community outreach programs, to promote the organization as an employer of choice.
- Utilizes organizational change management, human resource metrics, workforce planning, and financial management to optimize recruitment outcomes.
- Make data-driven business decisions based on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire and cost-per-hire, to enhance efficiency.
- Designs competitive recruitment packages and evaluates their effectiveness.
- Maintains cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and a professional demeanor in all interactions.
- Continuously updates and refines job descriptions, specifications, and recruiting procedures to align with best practices.
- Sources and evaluates candidates using databases, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and candidate management systems (CMS).
- Conducts various interview types (e.g., structured, competency-based, stress interviews) and implements reliable selection methods, including skills assessments and psychometric testing.
- Facilitates seamless onboarding processes to ensure new hires are fully integrated.
- Provides analytical and well-documented recruitment reports to leadership and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain influential candidate relationships throughout the selection process.
- Enhances Omni Tax Help’s reputation as a premier workplace through proactive employer branding initiatives.
- Stays informed on labor legislation and advises management on regulatory changes.
- Strengthens the company’s professional network by engaging with HR professionals, colleges, and other strategic partners.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of labor legislation, employment law, and HR best practices.
- Expertise in conducting diverse interview formats (e.g., structured, competency-based, stress) and managing selection processes, including phone interviews and reference checks.
- Proficiency with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Candidate Management Systems (CMS), and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS/HRMS).
- Strong familiarity with recruiting software and sourcing methods, such as social recruiting and Boolean searches.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build influential relationships.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to recruitment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to design and implement innovative recruiting strategies and procedures, including job application and onboarding processes.
- Proficiency in tracking and analyzing recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire). Skilled in advising hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and employer branding strategies.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
- Ability to represent the organization professionally at job fairs, career events, and networking opportunities.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a Recruiter, either in-house or with a staffing agency.
- Demonstrated experience in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates using various selection processes.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Requires sufficient manual dexterity for typing and computer-related tasks.
- Needs adequate visual acuity to view and interpret reports and navigate computer systems
- Occasionally involves bending, reaching, climbing a step stool, and lifting.
